Terms of Service

This document describes the rules for using the Logu mobile application. It is not personalized legal advice. If you need counsel, consult a qualified attorney.

1. Who we are

Logu is a personal lifelog application (the "App") published by the developer identified on the App Store listing. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the App.

2. The service

Logu lets you record daily moments on your device, including text notes, mood, photos, steps and sleep (where you allow HealthKit access), purchases, and optional Colorie meal calorie estimates based on a photo you choose to analyze.

3. Eligibility

You must be old enough to agree to these Terms in your country of residence (typically at least 13 years in the United States). If you are under the age of majority, your parent or guardian must review these Terms with you.

4. Health and AI disclaimers

• Not medical advice. Logu is not a medical device. Mood, sleep, steps, and calorie estimates are for personal journaling only and must not replace professional medical or dietary advice.
• Colorie estimates are approximate. AI-generated calorie and macro values are estimates only, may be inaccurate, and depend on image quality and model limitations.
• HealthKit. If you grant access, the App may read supported HealthKit data types to help you log steps and sleep. Apple’s Health app and HealthKit terms also apply.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the App, attempt to reverse engineer it beyond permitted exceptions under applicable law, interfere with our infrastructure, or use the App in violation of law or third-party rights.

6. Third-party services

When you use Colorie, your meal image is sent over HTTPS to our Cloudflare Worker, which forwards it to OpenAI for analysis. Use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We do not use Colorie to build advertising profiles about you.

7. Intellectual property

The App, its design, and branding are protected by intellectual property laws. You retain rights to content you create in the App.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP.

10. Changes

We may update the App and these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date and, where appropriate, the in-App legal links. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
